Fruit Harvest

Last week my sister and Mom arrived at the house to harvest the last of our cherry harvest for this year. We have 3 types of cherry tree/bushes: 1 Juliet tree, 1 Romeo bush, and 2 Nanking bushes. The total harvest for this year from those were 35 lbs. (15.9 kgs). Very happy with that. Happy to know that none of these were touched by any insecticides/herbicides/fungicides. Also, you cannot beat fresh food.

We just ziplock all the cherries and freeze them. Through the year we will use them to make jellies and jams, flavouring drinks, baking pies and desserts and activating finished batches of Kombucha.
