Barrel Gardening Especially for Small Spaces

Barrel gardens are great for small spaces gardening. These barrels feature 48 grow "cups" along the sides of the barrel and the top surface area. We have used barrels to grow for years. The top area is great for growing peppers, tomatoes or cucumbers etc. Add a narrow tall trelis and you've got even more vertical capacity. Considering that for a family of 4 you don't need more than 8 of each herb plant to feed them for a year, a barrel garden gives you a year supply of at least 6 herbs. That is a lot of provision in a small space. It's something to think about.
